Unhurried. Unspoiled. Uncommon.

Greetings:

As the mayor of Clarksville, Missouri, it is my pleasure to introduce you to our City. Day or night, the breathtaking views of the mighty Mississippi River will lure you to move closer to its banks and to “Touch the River”. This vantage point boasts of the magnificent returning show of Eagles each year and in recent times, a spectacular number of pelicans create an unbelievable vision of white beauty on the water.

The history of Clarksville is an inspiration to many individuals and communities. As the 200-year journey was celebrated in 2017, all were reminded of the extraordinary labors of love given to establish and maintain this delightful unhurried, unspoiled, and uncommon place.

While in the area, some of the opportunities to visit include Clarence Cannon Wildlife Refuge just south of Clarksville, the overlook at Lock and Dam # 24, Clarksville Antique Center (40,000 sq. ft), Riverfront Park and the Terracing Steps in town, and then just north to Heavenly Hills Resort on Highway N.

You will find this excitement and more wrapped, as only Mother Nature can, in some of the most beautiful scenery in the USA. As Mayor, and on behalf of our whole community, I extend a special invitation to you to experience Clarksville and to enjoy events held throughout the year in the Apple Shed, along the streets of town or in Riverfront Park.

www.clarksvillemo.pooledev.com will provide contact and additional information.

Sincerely,

Jo Anne Smiley
Mayor
